What is forgetfulness?
Forgetfulness means that information cannot be reliably recalled. This can apply to names, dates, conversations, objects, or everyday routines.
Memory works in several steps:
- Gather information
- Select what's important
- Save Content
- Recall memories
If any of these steps is disrupted, forgetfulness can result. Often, the cause lies not in memory itself, but in stress, lack of attention, or exhaustion.
