2. What personal data is processed?
We process personal data of natural persons who act on behalf of a business partner or serve as points of contact in the context of an existing or prospective business relationship. This applies in particular to employees, authorized representatives, and representatives of customers, suppliers, service providers, distribution partners, or other business partners.
Relevant personal data includes:
- Master Data such as name, job title, company, industry, contact person, customer or supplier number, and similar information
- Contact Information such as business address, email address, phone number, and other business contact information
- Contract and Order Data such as quotes, orders, deliveries, services, complaints, agreements, contract documents, and customer history
- Payment and Billing Information such as bank account information, billing information, payment status, confirmation of sufficient funds, and credit information, as necessary
- Communication Data such as business correspondence, meeting notes, user details, content data, connection data, and information from online meetings
- Safety and Verification Data such as access data, video and image recordings, and other data, to the extent that such data is necessary for security, auditability, or legal obligations
The specific data processed in each individual case depends on the respective business relationship, the agreed-upon or requested services, legal requirements, and the information you provide.
3. For what purposes is your data processed, and on what legal basis?
Data processing is carried out to the extent necessary for pre-contractual measures or for the performance of a contract with the respective business partner. This includes, in particular, communication with the relevant contacts, the processing of inquiries, quotes, orders, deliveries, and contracts, the billing of services, the implementation of projects and collaborations, and the documentation of business transactions.
In addition, we process personal data to the extent necessary to fulfill legal obligations, to protect overriding interests, or based on consent. This includes, in particular, legal documentation and retention requirements, IT security, risk management, and the assertion or defense of legal claims.
4. To whom is your data disclosed?
We work with external contractors to operate our IT services, infrastructure, and administrative processes. These contractors are carefully selected, bound by contract, and required to comply with appropriate security measures.
Our order processors are primarily located in Switzerland or within the EU/EEA. Personal data is disclosed to other countries only if the legal requirements are met, in particular through an adequate level of data protection or appropriate safeguards.
Within A.Vogel AG, only authorized individuals and relevant departments have access to your personal data, to the extent necessary to perform their duties.
5. How long will your data be stored?
Your personal data will be processed and stored for as long as necessary to initiate, carry out, and conclude the respective business relationship. In addition, personal data may continue to be retained provided there is a legal, contractual, or other permissible legal basis for doing so.
Data is retained for a longer period primarily to comply with legal requirements for documentation, evidence, and retention, as well as to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims. Personal data collected and processed in the course of a business relationship is generally retained for up to 10 years after the business relationship ends.
6. What are your rights?
You have the right to access your personal data stored by us, as well as to have it corrected, deleted, or its processing restricted. In addition, you may object to the processing, withdraw any consent you have given, and request the disclosure or transfer of your personal data.
The FDPIC is responsible for handling complaints related to this privacy policy and the processing of your personal data as described therein.
