2. What personal data is processed?

We process image and video data, as well as associated metadata, from designated areas on the A.Vogel AG premises. Depending on the camera area, this includes, in particular, images of people, vehicles, or movements; the time of recording; the camera location; and events occurring in the monitored area.

Video surveillance is conducted exclusively in areas that are clearly marked. These include, in particular, security-sensitive and critical areas, outdoor facilities, and the employee store in Roggwil. In the employee store, surveillance covers the area of the store itself and the sales racks.

Video surveillance is not used to monitor employees' performance or behavior.

As a general rule, no linkage to other personal data takes place, unless it is necessary to investigate a specific incident, to protect legitimate interests, or to comply with legal obligations.

3. For what purposes is your data processed, and on what legal basis?

We process personal data collected through video surveillance to ensure the safety of individuals, buildings, facilities, goods, and property, as well as to enforce our right to manage our premises. This processing is intended, in particular, to prevent, detect, and investigate criminal offenses, security-related events, or serious incidents.

This is done on the basis of the overriding legitimate interests of A.Vogel AG, provided that no overriding interests or fundamental rights of the data subjects conflict with this.

4. To whom is your data disclosed?

We work with external contractors in connection with the operation of our video surveillance systems, IT systems, and technical infrastructure. These contractors are carefully selected, bound by contract, and required to comply with appropriate technical and organizational security measures.

Our order processors are primarily located in Switzerland or within the EU/EEA. Personal data is disclosed to other countries only if the legal requirements are met, in particular through an adequate level of data protection or appropriate safeguards.

Information will be disclosed to government agencies, courts, or law enforcement authorities only to the extent required by law or necessary to investigate or enforce legal claims. Within A.Vogel AG, only authorized individuals have access to video recordings, to the extent necessary for them to perform their duties.

5. How long will your data be stored?

Video recordings are generally stored only for as long as is necessary to achieve the stated purposes. As a rule, the storage period is a maximum of 72 hours.

Data may be retained for a longer period if this is necessary to investigate an incident, preserve evidence, assert, exercise, or defend legal claims, comply with legal obligations, or in response to official or court orders. Recordings that are no longer needed are deleted on a regular basis.

6. What are your rights?

Subject to the requirements of the law, you may request information about the processing of your personal data and may request that it be corrected, deleted, restricted, or object to its processing. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact datenschutz@avogel.ch.

The FDPIC is responsible for handling complaints related to this privacy policy and the processing of your personal data as described therein.
